A native Texan, Amy R. Grant is a graphic designer, artist and teacher with a love of all things creative. After graduating high school, she attended Austin Community College and later achieved a BFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC.
During her studies at Parsons, she interned for children’s book author and illustrator, Paulette Bogan. Upon graduation, Amy worked as an assistant to renowned 3D artist and illustrator Liz Lomax, working on projects for Barneys NY Holiday windows, Rolling Stone, VH-1, MAD Magazine, Golf Digest, and the Wall Street Journal.
As a freelancer, Amy worked as a designer, and later as Creative Director, for Mobi, Inc, creating consumer products that were sold at various NYC retail stores, Whole Foods, The Container Store and online stores throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Her design work for Mobi has been featured in InStyle, Jane, Time Out Kids: New York, Celebrity Living Weekly, Real Simple, and Telegraph Magazine in the UK.
In the fall of 2011, Amy designed new characters for “Annie the Musical” products and merchandising style guide on Broadway. The characters were featured on all merchandise at the Palace Theater, Dylan’s Candy Bar, and various stores in Times Square. Get the full scoop on the Annie characters. →
Amy has over 15 years of experience working on print + web design projects for a wide spectrum of clients including non-profits, consumer products, finance, technology, government, and political campaigns. Her work has been seen in Hamptons Magazine, Gotham Magazine, Plum TV Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The Austin-American Statesman, and The Hollywood Reporter.
Amy has a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design and happily lives in Austin, Texas.
