A native Texan, Amy R. Grant is a graphic designer, artist and teacher with a love of all things creative. After graduating high school, she decided to trade in her slow-talking, cowboy boot-wearing ways and hit the streets of NYC to study illustration and design at Parsons School of Design.
During her time in design school, she interned for children’s book author and illustrator, the great Paulette Bogan. Soon after graduation, Amy worked as an assistant to renowned 3D artist and illustrator Liz Lomax. While working as Liz’s assistant she had the incredible opportunity to work on projects for Barneys NY Holiday windows, Rolling Stone, VH-1, MAD Magazine, Golf Digest, and the Wall Street Journal.
While working as a freelancer, she came across Mobi, Inc., a young, fun company that produced designer storage bags. Yes, super-cute designer sandwich bags! For several years Amy worked as a designer and later became Creative Director. Her designs for Mobi were sold for retail at Whole Foods, The Container Store and many online stores throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. The design work was also featured in InStyle, Jane, Time Out Kids: New York, Celebrity Living Weekly, Real Simple and Telegraph Magazine in the UK.
Amy has over 10 years of experience working on print + web design projects for a wide spectrum of clients spanning non-profits, consumer products to the financial industry, and political campaigns. Her work for non-profits has been seen in Hamptons Magazine, Gotham Magazine, Plum TV Magazine, The Los Angeles Times and The Hollywood Reporter.
More recently, she had the honor of designing new characters for the merchandising style guide of Annie the Musical on Broadway. The characters designed have been featured on all of the Annie merchandise including products at Dylan’s Candy Bar, the Palace Theater and various stores in Times Square.
